Hello everyone, well I went to the doctor today concerning my miscarriage last week. Some of you may have read my post about having discharge and why the bleeding stopped (after only 3-4 days), well it turns out I am one of those women who can pass everything in 4 days. I have had an ultrasound done and nothing left of the embryo. My doctor called in a specialist to talk to my husband and me about trying to conceive right away again. Both doctors believe that we need to try again within a month time due to the new research they conducting on what may have done wrong ( Has anyone heard of this before). The specialist believes that if I try to conceive within a month it may help me within my first trimester, I asked him about the emotional part of having a miscarriage and trying right away again and he said “well don't you want a child", what are you supposed to say to that? So here is the thing are these doctors way of the rockers of what?

I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I know it is hard to lose a baby.

Now, in defense of the doctors' sanity, lol, I have to say that if you got a clean bill of health then you should be ready to try again. I believe, and I may be wrong (I haven't had OB rotation yet, that comes next month), is that you will still have a build-up, even slightly, of the pregnancy hormones and that can aid in making the first trimester easier on you as the hormones are still there.

Rather than losing the pregnancy hormones completely and then building back up again you will start another pregnancy more on a neutral level. In this way you will not have extreme hormone surges.

LOL I think you need to change your profession to becoming a lawyer (for the doctors) that was a pretty good argument. I didn't realize that's what they meant by helping me in my first trimester. I guess its time to go back to the bedroom with the husband and try this whole thing again. Thanks J_9 you always have the right answers.
