I have a computer that will under no circumstances access the internet. I've checked anti-virus, firewall settings... It keeps telling me that the ping command is in use by another program, but I for the life of me can not narrow it down to which one. I've tried the following:
Ping
Ipconfig
Reset the router
I know that I'm missing something possibly simple, is there anything that you can suggest? BTW, I'm running vista.

And too, I see the network, just can't access the net...

Try booting to Safe Mode with Network support. See if you can ping then. More info about how you connect to the net might help.
