    Concrete nail length
I’m getting ready to frame my basement, and would like to know what length of concrete nail to use when attaching the bottom plate to the floor? I will be using 2x4’s and attaching them to the floor with a Hilti dx-350 nailer. I have some 2 ½ nails but wondered is the one inch of nail that would come through the board would be enough. Also, should I pre-drill pilot holes?

    Thanks

... for a solid connection into the slab. An equivalent to a #16 nail (3 1/2") would be called for. If this is a non-bearing wall it would be wise to anchor with bolts... a bearing wall could get by with the nails only.
