My cat seems to have invincible fleas. She has always worn a flea collar, and has never been outside since I have had her. I got her from the shelter about 3 months ago. The fleas have just recently appeared. They are only on the cat, they don't bother anyone else, and I've only seen total about 10-20 since the problem started. She's always scratching, though.
Here's what I've done so far: bathed her, had her dipped, brand new flea collar, threw out her bedding and thoroughly sprayed her areas with a spray that kills all stages. Sprayed perimiter of house in and out with a barrier spray. Bombed house. That didn't work at all, it was the very same day that I began to see fleas again. A few days later I went to the vet and got a pill to give her that would begin to kill fleas on her within 30 minutes and last 24 hours along with Frontline Plus which I applied at the same time as I gave her the pill. I didn't see any fleas until today. It has been about 5 days since I've applied the Frontline and I have seen a few more fleas on her yet again. What else can I do?? Apparently, this is some kind of "super flea".
Also, what do flea eggs look like? When I threw out her bedding, I saw numerous tiny black dots, wondering if that might have been eggs.
General info: I have never had any other animal in this house, I have been in this house for 2 and a half years, never saw a flea ever until recently. All the cat's things are brand new, bought when we adopted her.
