Installing custom sized shower pan on concrete slab
I am removing an existing fiberglass shower unit to replace it with a larger, custom-built ceramic tile shower. The subfloor is a post-tension concrete slab. I will not be able to move the drain, so it won't be centered in the new shower floor. I'm Ok with having an off-center drain. But, all the shower pans I'm finding put the drain hole right in the center. Are there custom shower pans I can purchase with offf-center drain holes, or can I create a custom pan using products available on the open market? If so, what products can you recommend I consider?

Hey! I work for a company called Bonsal American and we have a tile division- the solution is easy- it's called a slope. It's 4 pieces of foam that you bond together onto the slab and you can cut the drain to fit your needs. This slope also gives you the perfect "slope" in your drain so that water will flow easily into your drain and not cause pooling or wicking in your shower after you install the tile and grout. You can go on our website it's bonsal.com and they can sell them to you direct or you can buy them from one of our distributors.
