First calculate how many mols of N are in one liquid gallon Then us the ideal Gas Law to determine the volume the gas will occupy at whatever temp and pressure you want.

    1 gallon = 3.78 L = 3780 cubic centimeters.
Density of liquid nitrogen = 0.808g/cc at -195.8 degrees F

    So 1 gal weighs 3780 cc * .808g/cc = 3054g

    Atomic weight of N2 = 14 g/mol

    So 1 gal contains 3054g/(14g/mol) = 218 mol.

At room temp and pressure 1 mol of gas occupies 24.4 liters of space, so one gallon of liquid nitrogen would boil off and occupy 5235 liters of space at room temp and atmospheric pressure. Use the ideal gas law PV=nRT to calculate volumes forother temp and pressure conditions.

    Correction - Atomic weight of N is 14 g/mol, but N2 will be 28 g/mol.
