I have what I hope to be a quick question about my shower drain height/depth below the floor. I am moving my shower drain to accommodate a larger shower pan that I am installing. This is a 2” cast iron basement floor drain that I have cut off, installed a no hub coupling, and I am ready to install the PVC pipe and p-trap. My question is, at what depth below (I’m assuming) the top of the floor do I run the PVC after it comes up off the p-trap? If it depends on what I am installing over it, I am installing a 35” X 48” Lasco Bathware shower pan. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If the shoiwer pan has a PVC drain then you will measure down from the drain to the floor from the point the raiser will glue into the drain and cut it off there. You will then be in a position to prime and glue in the drain and raiser.
I would make very sure that the shower base is well supported either by supports built into the base or mortar or cement puddled undr the base so it does not flex when you step in it. Good luck, Tom
