    Breast Calcification
What does it mean when I am told I have a calcium deposit/lump in my breast? It is painful and my Dr. has sent it out for a biopsy.

Okay, this means that there is a small deposit of calcium in the breast, mammography usually detects this. It hurts because it is similar in feel to a stone-it's a hard lump that is generally NOT cancerous.

It is being biopsied to make sure.

    Best wishes.
