Can a ex lover take legal actions for lying to them?
I had an affair with a guy and got pregnant. My husband knows about the situation although the guy that I had the affair with did not know I was married I lied to him about my marital stauts, work , and pretty much everyday life. He has recently found out about this after we broke up. Now he is send emails and things to my husband telling him about it, my husband was aware. His sister said that she worked for an attorney and that there were legal actions that he can take with me because I lied to him even though he always had a thought that I was married is this true?

I'm sure you'll get plenty of replies, but here's a couple of 'first thoughts': The father of the child (true biological father) has every right to sue for Parental Rights. This can include any number of legal points. I'm not sure why he would sue You for lying - unless you are trying to coerce financial support from him. Lying to him was wrong and probably considered immoral, but probably not an actionable offense. You are both adults, and if he had a 'thought' that you might have been married, well how did you 'harm him / injure him' which is what the law is all about.
Best of luck - and you might want to talk with an attorney, just to get some preliminary information before the biological father starts anything. The best defense is a great offense!
