Bathroom and kitchen exhaust fan vents
I have a 290 cfm remote, 4 port bath exhaust fan serving two bathrooms. The exhaust port is 6 inches in diameter.

I will be installing a 360 cfm range hood exhausting to 6 inch pipe.

Can I join both kitchen and bath exhaust pipes in the attic and have the exhaust for both run out the same opening in the roof?

If you do it that way then your kitchen will smell like a bathroom and your bath smell like your kitchen, the fans would push against each other's... it may be not up to code

I Don't Think There Are More Than 1 Fan, Its 1 Fan With More Ports To Vent Multiple Rooms

Your Right It Does Sound Like There Is 2 Fans. He Could Always Run One Of The Vents Out Through The Sofit, And Not Through The Roof.
