My girlfriend broke up with me last week because she said that she is young (18 nearly 19), and we have been together for 2 years. She says that she doesn't feel the same anymore, yet she would be hurt if she saw me with another girl and still has 'feelings' for me. There is no other guy involved, she assured me of this and so have my friends, we are pretty certain anyway. I haven't contacted her since but she says that she wants to remain friends and wouldn't be surprised if we got back together in a couple of years when we are finishing uni. I want her back now though and don't really know what I should do to make her interested again? Any suggestions guys... thanks

She wants to be with you, but she actually doesn't? She has feelings for you, but she wants you away from her? She wants you to wait for her?

I'd tell her to make up her mind... she either wants you now, or she doesn't. If she doesn't - don't stay around her till you're over her. It is such a pain. I know from experience. Away from the eyes means away from the heart. Tell her if she doesn't want you now, that you want her away from yourself till you're over her. And if she says she doesn't want you to get over her, but also doesn't want you for herself now... well... that's just plain dumb.

Sounds like your girlfriend isn't really in love with you anymore; only wants you to be a good friend.
My advise is to leave her alone, don't contact her, don't talk with her. Stay away from her. Let her decide what she really wants.
Meantime, don't treat her as just a friend, cause that will not work out for you... been there, tried that.
Find yourself some new friends. You don't want to wait around for a couple of years!
It really hurt when the 19 yr old girl I was in love with told me "I am a good friend"... it took me a year or two to get over it.
But, I made new friends, had two or three more girlfriends, and eventually married one of them!

I think there is another guy. They don't act like that other wise. She has feelings for another guy.

YET - she wants her cake and eat too! - doesn't want you to go out with anyone.

ALL I can say is it's time for a tactful withdrawl. Only thing you can do is END all contact for a couple months.

During that time DATE!! Casual date - make sure she knows about it tell all your friends. Work on yourself - workout - nothing a woman likes more than her man being in great shape.

Remember - woman are part of your life - not your life - you must have done something to chase her away. Too available? Too needy? Too much communications. Seriously - most of the time it's NOT them - it's you!
