My girlfriend wants to move away
I have been with my girlfriend for 8 years. I am 30 and she is 27. We have both been very happy until just recently when she has been acting a little funny. She said the other day "is this it?" meaning is this our lives now, is this what we do for the rest of our lives? This puzzled me as nothing had been said or any arguments etc.
She was going to stay with her sister last weekend to "clear her head", but made a u turn at the last minute. Also, the other week after trying for a baby, we got a negative result, she seemed relieved, even though she's wanted one for years.
We have a close circle of friends and family and are all very happy, but yesterday she said she wants to move away to a city nearby (about 40 miles) because she's sick of our town. She also says she wants to go travelling with me, which is fine! We both have good jobs and own 2 properties, so moving away would be crazy, also for our family and friends!

What's up with her? Please help I'm very worried

I think she may be getting a little bored especially with comments such as "Is this it?". It's a good thing you picked it up and make it an issue which means you do notice a problem. The problem is something may not be right according to your girlfriend... That's a BIG problem! Perhaps she just wants to do more in life. Other women usually leave and do it on their own so feel lucky that she is actually including you. She is giving you answers and ways to fix her problem, which may be boredom. The fact that she wants you to tag along says "the problem isn't you honey, I'm just bored but I know we can do so much more and have a lot more exciting things and have fun...Please join me in this part of my life now" That sounds pretty darn amazing to me. Sure it's a bit adventurous and young minded but I think it would be healthy for the two of you. I think the two of you should at least entertain the thought for a while. Sit her down and talk about how you would do it, evaluate how your budget will treat you on this journey, how would you tell everybody and how would they react. Do you really think it's worth leaving friends and family. She also may have been relieved because right now she wants to go out and away and maybe the baby would've stopped those ideas and plans. Just another piece of advice, if you don't at least try in this situation, it may cause resentment or maybe she may get tired of things and leave alone. I'd say go for it. But let me ask you. Why would it be such a bad idea to leave, in your case? She's up and ready for the thrill and change... Will you step up, or hold her back? One life to live... Take the risk! Just remember to always have a back up plan in case things don't work out there if you decide to go.
