Is this OK?

Two story house with full basement. Remodeling master bath on second floor. Need to run new toilet drain, shower drain and drains for two sinks.

While ripping out the sheetrock in the area I discovered a 2" vent coming up from the half-bath and laudry room on the first floor. I opened up the top plate next to the vent and found the 2" vent connects to a three inch tee to service the washing machine and directly below that another tee to service the half-bath sink. In the basement that 3" line joins the main line exiting the house.

I want to open the wall next to the washing machine and cut out the tee that reduces to 2" and replace it to continue the 3" line to the second floor. There I will add a 90 degree bend with a 2" connection on the side to re connect the vent portion.

The three inch section will head to the toilet. Halfway to the toilet I'll add a tee to service a 2" line to go to the shower. I will also add a vent on this 2" line.

The old vent line will become a wet vent to service two sinks.

Is there anything a computer engineer who is not a plumber missed so that this is not a workable solution?

I was OK with your set up until I ran across, " The old vent line will become a wet vent to service two sinks."
To wet vent the lavatories you would have to install a "S" trap to do it and that's a no-no.
If you vent the lavatories and connect the shower to the lavatory drain line then the shower will be wet vented but you can not install a "P" trap and then 90 it down to a drain. That turns it into a "S" trap.
As you get deeper into the remodel you'll have morequestions. I'm as close as a click. Tom

Ok, now you're scaring me with visions of ripping up a brand new bathroom to fix my plumbing blunders.

On the right side of the room each sink will have their P trap that goes into a 12" long (2' pipe) horizontal run to tee into a vertical 2" pipe. The vertical line goes up out of the house. The vertical line goes down to a 90 under the floor to the middle of the room where I will attach it to a 3" 90 degree elbow that has a 2" connector coming out of the side of it. The 90 degree elbow runs to the left side of the room to the toilet. Halfway to the toilet I will add a tee with a 2" connector that heads over to a 2" vent for the shower and then to the shower drain.

So it seems to me the sinks will be vented on the one 2" line and the shower and toilet will be vented on the other 2" vent I will install between the toilet and vent. Does that sound better?

And you scared me with the word "wet vent". It would appear that the lavatories are vented correctly. If you can I'd change that 90 to a short sweep for better drainage and less clogs. Yes! It sounds much better. Regards, Tom
