    Out of state 1099 income
If I receive 1099 income from a state other than my resident state, do I have to file a state tax return for that state in addition to my resident state tax return?

If the work is done in your state of residence then out-of-stae income is taxable only in your state of residence

Agreed. The critical issue is WHERE the work was done, not the originating address of the payer.
