Dishwasher hooked up illegal how to fix?
Recently my sink started to drain very slowly... up to 20 minutes for the sink to let out. Then I noticed that water was backing up into my dishwasher and wouldn't drain out So I called a plumber he came and snaked the kitchen drain. He asked how the dishwasher was hooked up, because he didn't see any hoses running through the cabinets. I told him the only way to see the hoses was to pull out the dishwasher... he said that was illegal, against code in Kentucky. This was the problem. I have tried to explain this to my husband who was not there when the plumber was, but he doesn't understand what the problem was or how to fix it. HELP!! (the previous owner/flipper did this we've never installed anything)

The hose must go somewhere but apparently not to the sink drain. Flipper can do funny (noy) things including draining into the vent. Pull the washer out and allow the plumber to properly connect to the sink drain.
