    Renters habitability Bad Mold Issues
Currently renting a home that has a serious mold problem due to a cracks in foundation which leak into basement. Influx of water, then mold now growing up stairwell, as well as in kitchen ceilings and bathroom. Concerned about health dangers and how to have it taken care of properly. Landlorn saying we must clean it ourselves. It is an on going problem and only is getting worse. What can we do? Plus carbon monoxide detector going off repeatedly in basement too. What are our options?

A landlord is required to provide a habitable space. It would appear he is not doing so. If he refuses to make necessary repairs, then move or sue.

Seems like the landlord has given you constructive eviction. Have you demanded the repairs in writing? You may need to do that first to protect yourself if he files suit for non-pament of rent.
