Low Hot water pressure on just one downstairs tap
I have low hot water pressure on the kitchen tap down stairs.
All other taps are OK and appear to have sufficient pressure.
The kitchen tap seems to derive from the bath mixer which is situated above it in the bathroom.
Some time ago I heard a strange 'glugging' noise and the pressure then reduced. It appears to have got worse today and the hot tap is almost a trickle.
We have hot downstairs at the front of the house which is fine.
My house is 12 years old and the initial reduction was about 18mths after moving in from new.
The tap in the kitchen has been replaced as has some of the piping but the problem remained, so I don't think the problem lies under the sink .
My questions are:
1. Could the mixer tap be blocking the supply to downstairs?
2. Or could there be something such as solder jammed on a pipe bend between up stairs and down?
3. If the latter is some magical way to clear it? High pressure for example?
Thanks for your time and I would be grateful for any information on this.
Thanks
