IGoogle is your personalised Google home page on the net, whereas Google Desktop is an application that runs on your local machine.
IGoolge is good as it's transportable, just sign in on any browser and there it is.
Personally I don't like either, especially Desktop as I'm not 100% sure what Google does with the information they have.
I use iGoogle as it reminds me of the MyYahoo feature I really love but the Google service seems so much more hip and cool. Google Desktop is comparative to Windows Desktop Search.
Google Desktop allows you to search your local computer files, as well as online and enables you to customize your sidebar.
IGoogle is a Google webpage that you can personalize to own taste, it contains the classic Google search, weather and date gadgets and all sorts of stuff.
So basically the same stuff but one on the computer and one on the net?
Ben, What do you not like about iGoogle? I am really loving it.
I'd rather use search engine plugins on FF.
When I want a search engine I don't really want all the other crud that comes with it.
That's what I like about plain old Google.
Simple and clean.
I too much like to save clicks, so love having one click access to the stuff I use many times a day.
LOL, that's whay I have a bunch of tabs all setup ready to rock in FF ;)

Benn,
How does it do that? I've been using iGoogle for a while now (iGoogle) and it's all based as a web app i.e.. If you're not connected no content is served up.
