    can someone help me? the directions are to use the given values to write an equation relating x and y. Then find y when x=2.
    problem: x=1, y=2

    PLEASE help!!!

    usually with those problems you need to data pts. Ex (5,3) (6,4) and then you do delta y over delta x to find m or the slope. Next you would do y = mx + b and substitute the values from one of the data pts and the value of m into the equation. Then you would solve for b or y intercept. Last you would write y = and would put the value of m +/- the value of b. don't know if this helps exactly with your question but maybe you can use it for some other problem. Good luck!
