    Obsessed about having a baby
I am going to be 31 years in two months and have wanted to have a baby for the past two years to the point where I am so depressed. When I see pregnant women, babies, or anything having to do with babies I cry. I was in a 10 year relationship which I thought was going to end up in marriage and a baby, but eventually he met someone else and she is now pregnant. I began a new relationship a year ago, but we recently broke up because of financial issues. He talks about getting married and having children with me, but says that right now he wants to focus on his job.

I don't know what to do! I can't stop thinking about having a baby. I feel like I'm running out of time. I feel as if I don't get pregnant soon that I will never be able to have a baby. I know that I am mentally & financially ready to have a child, but I can't find a man that is. I am really scared, and unhappy. If you have been through this please give me some advice.

First, I think you need to see a shrink... you know... just in case... then maybe try artificial insemination? If you want a baby that bad, why not just have one by yourself? Just be very careful about how you raise that baby, believe me, I know what can go wrong.

Many women consider single parenthood, by choice, these days. As the PP said, why not artificial insemination?
