Hello I recently installed a bath tub in my basement. I installed ½” tee’s into the already existing ½” pex that was in the house for the hot and cold water and ran them over to the water valve via ½ pex since that’s what was used for everything else in the house. My problem is that there is a noticeable difference in water pressure when I fill the bathtub. The one up stairs which also runs off ½ pex
Is fine. Why would the one down stairs which is closer to the water main have less pressure? Could it be because I went with the cheaper shower valve? There are shut off screws on the valve I checked and they are fully open. I am working with limited space so instead of having the faucet come out below the on-off valve I piped it over with galvanized pipe and had it run out next to the valve instead of below it (6” at most) would this cut the water pressure down? One more thing I mounted the valve between the wall studs so I had to put a 90 elbow on the cold water and then plug the pex into that. Could the 90 also cut down the pressure?
