    Deprovera Shot
I was on depo for approximately 5 years & didn't have a cycle during that time. My last depo shot was September 2006. Since then I now have a cycle again, but have not been able to get pregnant. How long does depo stay in your system? I thought that once my cycle started again, I could conceive.
    Thanks for your help!

My doctor told me Depo can stay in your system for up to a year. For me it only took 30 days to get pregnant. It just depends on your body. You probably just still have some lingering around in there. It will happen for you. :)

Up to two years I'm afraid took me 16 months to conceive after 9 years of the shot don't give up hope it will happen and I can assure you that you aren't the only person and you won't be the last it's a shame that us girls aren't made aware of the side effeacts of this shot because it really is quite evil.

I've been on depo now for 6 years. My doctor said in some rare cases it can take up to almost three years to become pregnant. Good luck to you though and if it continues and you are worried about it you should go see a doctor. Maybe there may also be some underlaying problem. You could also look at the little book you get in the depo box. It talks about the shot and pregnancy.
