What do I class as the first day of my period
Hello I'm new to this site but have tried every where else and can not find the answer so here goes. I should have gone for my depo jab in nov but we have decided to try for a baby I did not have a period until the 3 or fourth of may, hownever for the first couple of weeks it was more brown then red and straight after this with no break I started to bleed red for about 4-5 days what I want to know is what do I count as my period is it the day of the brown blood or the day of the red blood, at my reckoning I should be due on with in the next few days if I go by the red if I go by the brown I am already late. I'm confused because I have been feeling really sick and light headed, I have bloated stomach more than I used to when I had periods and I just feel different altogether is there a chance I could be pregnant already, I am trying to wait as long as possible before I test in case it is too early thanks and I'm sorry it is so long and drawn out but I have not had a period in nearly 7 years.

I believe you count the first day of actual bleeding.

    Myth
Because you were on the depo shot you will probably not be able to conceive until after a year to 18 months from your last shot. Depo puts your body in a post menopausal state. Your body is probably recovering from not having any of natural estrogen you produce in your hormones. I honestly wouldn't test until my period was back to normal or you can go in for a blood test. I would also recommend that you not get the depo shot as a birth control method anymore. It has made a lot of women infertile and has a lot of side effects that dr's neglect to tell most women.
