I would like to know,if you are a salary employee and you do not have PTO benefits and you miss a day of work for illness should they deduct it from you salary? I was hire to work 8 to 5 but I am call after hours and on weekend. Because I am a salary employee they do not pay me for extra hours worked.

Depends on the company policy on sick leave. You should have or be able to get a copy of the written policy. If the policy is you don't get paid for sick days or you only have a limited number after which you get docked, then they can do it.
