I am still using Netscape 4.x because I love its powerful, friendly spell check. Most of the newer stuff copies Outlook's crappy one. I keep thinking about trying Firefox.

    Browser
    Hi,
I use Internet Explorer 6 with the service pack; with Outlook Express.
Outlook Express can be backed up, in case of emergencies.
Never tried Firefox; never had a need to.
    Best wishes,

    Good choice
I think fireFox runs 10 times faster than IE does.

Firefox is, easier to use, has many extensions, it is faster... Google search bar, tabbing feature, hardly to never crashes, has skins to personalize it... once more, its safer then IE. IE is substandard to Firefox to me.

    The Fox or IE
The guys from Netscape, who set up the Mozilla Foundation in 1998,certainly knew what they were doing. The Mozilla browser in itself is far better than IE,with all it's security problems.Mozilla has a tab browser, plus a host of other features.Firefox is the result of all that "tinkering".No bloat, good security, easy to use,and open source.I use it,and Mozilla v.8.0,just to keep up to date with trends.Internet Explorer is huge, faulty, accident prone, and security is a nightmare. Not open source,a closed shop at Redmond. To be fair the guys at Microsoft do a good job in what they are asked to do,but as the worlds number one target for hackers, crackers, spammers, scammers, and idiots, they are bound to have problems.Firefox is the browser of now,and for the future.

Firefox is better. It's standards complient, you have all the extensions, themes etc, the security is better and when bugs are discovered they are fixed in days unlike IE where you have to wait for a month till the next security release.

    Yes Ben,
That remark you quoted does explain a lot. Someone answering other people's questions should try to have a more varied experience or restrict their answers to questions they are familiar with. Did you see where a MAC question was answered with instructions that pertained to a PC?
