AC digital control on chevy truck
I have a 1993 chevy silverado truck, the dash has a digital control panel for air, heater, fan. It stopped working but the clucth on the air conditioning turns off and on and I can't control it with the dash panel, no buttons work (Off, On, or lights up). I took AC control out still connected to harness and it feels hot to the touch even with ignition key off. All fuses are good. When I run a test light on the harness prongs the fan gets activated on certain prongs that I touch. Also it looks like its slightly melted on back of one of the connections on the control unit. Do I replace the control unit or is there another problem?

It sounds to me like something shorted, I would look around and make sure you don't have any shorted wires in the dash somewhere but I think replacing the thing would be your best bet. Without actually seeing it and testing it myself it's hard to say...

It sounds like a control unit failure.you can pick one up fairly cheap at a salvage yard. I recently picked up a working pcm for my neon for 35$
