    Sign paternity acknowledgment-it is easy.

    Wish it was that easy.

Well there is a father, and there will have to be an attempt made to find the father. Your specific court and state will have what needs to be done to satisfy the notification process.

And if the bio father is found, he will need to sign over this rights.
If he can not be found, and after proper legal notice posted in the newspaper, the courts will normally allow the adoption.

So what your wife needs to do is hire an attorney to start the process.

Fr_Chuck,you suggest that first the biofather has to be found and after that his rights to be terminated... In my opinion the BF does not know about his paternity or he does not want his child... If he wants his child-maybe he has already signed BS.:(
