    Temperature shut down for AC
I have a very stupid question. I just bought and installed a NOMA 7 day programmable thermostat, bought at Canadian Tire part number 52-2549-0. It runs both the heating and air conditioning. I never had one that operated AC as I never had central air.
My questiion is at what temperature does the unit shut down or stop the ac until it is called for again. My temp is set at 75F. It starts no problem. I have a 4 wire system. The wires are G,Y,RH,W.

Depending on how you have the thermostat set up ( fast or slow cycles) it should go one degree under or above. Does the A/C shut off at all?

Yes it does shut off. If I change it by one or two degrees up it will shut off. Your answer does make sense to me. I have never had a programmable thermostat. Thank you so much for the info. I am going to monitor it closely today.
