    What forms do I add when mailing my taxes
    I am mailing in my taxes for 2006 (State and federal) and I am itemizing. I used turbo tax, but when I printed the forms, they are all mixed up. What forms do I send with which? Do I send a copy of my state with my Federal and vice versa?

    1. What do you mean they are all mixed up? Not unless you droped them or did not fill out the questions correctly.

    It will print out exactly each page you need to file, print you a page with the address to mail it to, and ask you if you want a copy for your records ?

    But no state goes to state, federal goes to federal you do not include copies of the other for the other group.

    But what forms do you send? Just the ones it told you to send, it should have printed only the forms needed to mail.

    Look in the upper left hand corner of federal forms. There is a small number which shows the order in which forms and schedule need to be attached to the Form 1040.

    Bottomline, however, is that you can attach the forms and schedules to Form 1040 in ANY ORDER YOU WANT. It may delay the processing, but the IRS will sort it out and eventually send you your refund.
