I have ethical issues with cross posting to another site, but you will find a number of good ideas at http://theoildrop.server101.com/ubb/...=000035#000000

    Hi Ed,
The drain's made of chrome over brass so it can't rust but over time the brass corrodes and makes it hard to remove. You can purchase a tub drain removal tool from any plumbing wholesale house but we Just take a 1 1/4" piece of copper pipe and saw a cross about 1/4 or5/16ths in the end. That will fit right over the tub drain and all you need is a 14" pipe wrench and a little muscle. Cheers, Tom
