How can I change my ip so I can get back on a site that blocked it?:D

I don't know if you get a new ip doing this but try this:

Start > run > type cmd to get a dos window

Type ipconfig/release

Wait till it does its thing then type ipconfig/renew

Site blocking is done using your PUBLIC IP address, this is controlled by your ISP.
So call them.

From an admin's pint of view, there would be a valid reason why your IP was banned from a site and if you return the same will happen again.

Bottom line here is that your IP is assigned by your ISP when you connect to the Internet. If you are using a dialup service, the IP usually changes with each connection. If you are using a broadband service, then it likely will remain the same unless you stay off line for several days.

The problem is not the IP but the behavior that got you banned in the first place. Even if you can sneak back onto the site, its likely you will just be banned again.

How do I change my isp then? I have timewarner internet.

You change the service. If you have cable, change to DSL. But that's a pretty drastic move to get back on a banned website that you will probably get banned from again.

Call Time Warner and request an IP change.. Tell them someone has your IP and they threatened to hack you

Good luck with that! Let me know how that call goes, I'd be interested.

Go to a coffee shop or a internet café, log in there and your IP will not be the same as your home IP.

Now the place that banned you may have placed a cookie or some ID within your computer to let them know it is you, so you will have to clean your system also.

Actually the ban is on the other end, the webserver end. Before he even attempts to log in it will know the originating IP and put the block on. Deleting cookies on his end won't affect the ban.

You can also sign up for a static IP from your provider (an additional cost) which will be different from your old one. Still, I think calling TimeWarner and asking for a new IP is the best idea.
