I have a JANITROL P/N 34D35 electric (12-24V dc) solenoid valve, made for jet aircraft, that I'd like to use for fuel cutoff. Is this valve suitable for use with gasoline? Thank you.

I'm not sure if gasoline may eat the seal, but try it - it should work.

Actually, yes it should be OK. Turbine engines are able to run for a small amount of time on avgas if its necessary, so the valve should be suitable for gasoline as well as jetA.

Agreed, but your innitial assumption is correct, if it was designed for jet fuel, gasoline will eat the seals. If you planning on doing this temporarily it's OK but for any extended length of time it's not worth the hassle
