Is my bedroom dresser an antique?
    Hi,

I am very new to antiques and the value, so could use some help here!

I have found a gorgeous 9-drawer dresser, but I do not know the year it was made. It doesn't look like the way dressers are made today. And, I also compared it to 1940's & 50's 9-drawer dressers, and there were "almost" matches! Does anyone know how to find the serial number? It has a number on the back; B-G90-4-DB(or)R-40 and says "hang mirror on brackets", but that's it.

Please if you can help I would appreciate it! Thanks Nicole :D

I would call an antique furniture dealer in the area. Failing that, I would call my local public library reference desk for help.

I don't believe that you will find any serial number on the piece of furniture. You may find part numbers, though.

You also might try the following and click on the pictures that you find, if one of them is similar to the one that you have.
