    Old school shower head
My house was built in '83. The original shower head is still in the shower. Changing it out is easy enough, except that at the end of the pipe coming out of the wall, there is a swivel ball thing stuck on the end of the pipe. The threaded piece that you screw the old shower head onto is above the ball, while the actual head of the shower screws off beolw the ball. I can't find any kind of adapter/converter to fit around the ball so that I can get a new showerhead on the thing. Any suggestions for finding parts for old shower heads, or shower heads that may fit on these old pipe ends?

The ball should have threads that unscrew but if they don't then the shower arm you have screws into a drop-eared ell,(see image)behind the tile. Simply unscrew it and purchase a new chrome shower arm,(see image) and head. Don't forget to Teflon Tape the threads. Good luck, Tom
