    Ectopic pregnancy
    Dear all,
I would definitely need your help.I was diagnosed for ectopic pregnancy on march 1st 2007 and so an emergency laparoscopy was done. But thankfully the doctor said there was no damage to both my tubes since the baby had come out of it naturally and it was more like a tubal abortion.hence both my tubes were restored .after 3 months doctor had sugested for HSG .On June 2nd I had a HSG done and the result came out as both my tubes were blocked. But I had tremendous pain during the procedure. Will that be a reason for my tubes to appear blocked? Can it be a false result?? ANd laso would like to know if I can continue to have unprotecetd sex now.Just a small doubt that if I have unprotecetd sex when my tubes are blocked am I at the risk of having an ectopic pregnancy? please help as I'm totally confused.Nad all I can do is only pray..

Some people's tubes spasm during the procedure and will falsely appear blocked.

That being said, if you have had one ectopic you are automatically at a high risk for another, since the main cause for ectopics is tubal adhesions. Chances are you have some blockage. For your own safety, I would proceed as if you have blockages and use birth control until it is confirmed either way.

Talk your doctor about another HSG and ask him about the spasm factor. Perhaps they have some newer tests available.
