Bleeding & birthcontrol new to site
Im eighteen years old and I am new to this site. Im trying to learn how to use it.
Im kind of scared actually because I don't want people thinking I'm stupid or dumb for asking questions. But, I was put on birthcontrol and I started taking it even though I didn't have a period that month. I know I'm not pregnant or anything else but I took it anyway. I have four pills to take until I finish my first pack and I have yet to have my period. I did ask my doctor questions but some of them she never answered. I even called and I got no return phone calls. But, my question here is what happens if you take it before you have a period and what happens if you have no period when taking your pills. Is that normal?

You shouldn't have a period until you get to the water pills (the last row in your pack). It doesn't matter when you start taking them, eventually you period will catch up to the pills and follow the schedule of the pills. Many women experience irregularity for a few cycles when first starting the pills. It will eventually correct itself. The pills are meant to regulate.
