Renovation contract - bad job by contractor - what next?
I signed a contract to reno my condo. He was done but because of the length of time and too many issues we ended up on a bad note. He didn't come back to finish the "small" fix ups and I had already paid him in full so why should he. Fast forward 8 months and things are coming apart... shower tiles are coming loose, grouting is dissolving. In the contract he warrantees the work for two years but logically, why would I ask him to come back fix something he screwed up in the first place. Can I sue him and if I can, how?

    Hell xell:

Why would you ask him to come back?? Because your warranty might not be good if you don't. Read it. It'll say. If you don't have to give him a chance to fix it, hire someone else and sue him for what it costs you. Small claims court is the place to do that.
