Signed a new lease now the landlord is asking us to leave for no reason
I am renting a house, Which I just Resigned the lease until may 31 of 2008, The Lanlord told us that everything I did to the house looks good and he was glad for us to be tendants, we are never late on rent and now he sent us a certified letter in the mail saying we have to be out by aug 1 of this year, Now we have a newly signed lease and we have lived here for a year with no problems. What legal actions do we have. He is also still taking our rent...

Your legal rights depend on what state you live in

What does the letter say? Does it give a reason you have to leave, or does it just tell you to get out?

Unless you have done something to violate the terms of the lease, the landlord does not have the right to end your tenancy early. That is one of the advantages of having a one year lease--you know that you'll have a place to live for a year as long as you pay your rent and follow the rules.

If you've done something to violate the lease then the landlord does have the right to terminate it. Give us more info.
