    Painful break-up
    Hi everyone -

I fell in love with a girl who I was seeing about 6 months - she moved out of town for school, which I know was going to happen, but I still wanted to stay in touch, and see her when I could. She said she wanted the same thing. Well, as soon as she moved, she said that she was seeing her ex-boyfriend again and that she was sorry. I was really caught offguard by this because I thought there was something more between us. I have called her and emailed her and she has not responded. Any advice on getting her out of my head and healing my broken heart? What to do and what not to do - It has been about 2 weeks and I have not tried to contact her in over a week - thank you very much - pretty tough time -

I can understand why it was such a painfull breakup and I'm sorry to hear this situation. It saddens me. What you can do is do things that you love, such as writing, instruments or sticking your nose in a good book helps you get her off your mind. Try not to contact her, let her contact you. So she knows what she did wrong and how she hurt you.

Best of luck and I hope this helped!

Well you need to tell her how you feel

It must be the most draining period for u I am sure.. but just CAN NOT do anything about it... because the other party has hooked up with someone else. In this case, she'd hardly be bothered, so what you need to do is to think it this way... someone who did not bother how you felt or cared about, does not deserve an inch of an affection/attention from you... and if they're so fickle minded then u should be even more glad that you got out of this well in time before u got more into this... right? She will remain in your head for a little while... that's normal but let this not become an obsession... it will kill your sense of self worth which you should never lose at any given point in time of your life... hope that makes sense...

Thanks for all of your responses - they all make sense and I will not break NO CONTACT - I don't think I am obsessed, just a bit bummed - I guess I just have to do the time and take care of myself - thanks again

    Hi

Sad to hear your feeling so low, when it happened to me, I did different things to occupy me I even did a tandem sky dive jump, the sick feeling in my stomach doubled...
Anyway it helped me, I did some volunteer work with the homeless which I have to say put it into perspective, but some people prefer a good book.
The pain fades eventually, just need to occupy your time and look after yourself until it does!
    We are here...
