    Bad clusters and bad blocks
When I do the chkdsk on WDC and it says windows replaced the bad clusters

Why does Stellar Smart say there's 3 bad blocks?

    Didn't chkdsk clear it?

The PC says no bad sectors

When windows says it has replaced the bad sectors, it may have either marked them as an area on the hard disk platter where the head will not attempt to read or write to them, or in some cases, some hard drives actually reserve a few sectors to be used as replacements. StellarSmart uses a system that is based on Self-Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T). More or less, it indicates an upcoming event, not an actual error... yet. CHKDSK is probably not registering the repaired or replaced blocks because it has "repaired" them by simply deadening that small area of the disk platter. Stellar Smart is more advanced and therefore is indicating that "something" has changed on your disk platter. Unless you develop more bad sectors, I wouldn't be overly concerned.
