I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the receiver mounted on my hampton bay ceiling fan. I have tried every direction, but the canopy cover won't fit over the thing. Help!

They can be about impossible for the most experienced. Have breaker off, work with 1 wire at a time, store anywhere but in the way. Good luck. Take your time.
