This might seem like a silly question but have you checked the firewall settings? It sounds like it's possible that the upgrade computer has something set incorrectly in it's firewall. Can you ping the upgrade computer from the full install? Also, what is the error message you're getting? You might need to try a repair as well. Maybe some system files are corrupt.

    Yea I
Can ping both, the pc's aren't here they are a clients network. Firwall is off(windows), I'm using zone alarm which is setup to allow ip address and work group. I will be going back there in a week. The help in meantime would br appreciated. Thank you.

Have you set a fixed ip address on both computers before setting up the shares? It's a longshot.

OK I can access all shares on 1 PC but the same rights assigned on the other I cant? Error is no access see admin, I assigned user rights and still get this error.but I can't see workgroup in permission or other PC when I open permissions? If that makes since?

You said you checked firewall, by pinging. Do you have a local firewall on either PC. Local FW's go per process, usually. Uninstall all firewalls and try. I had some other recommendations for T-Shooting network problems in another thread about IP Printing.

Check that for some connectivity advice.
