I have a synchron motor stamped 38323l-6-106 0142 645 24v 60hz. It isn’t opening the damper all the way and I would like to replace it but can’t find it on the internet. Does anybody know of an alternate part that would be a direct replacement?

Maybe these guys can help you match your motor or find an original replacement. Looking through the internet is a start, but you actually have a few phone calls to make for sure with manufacturers sellers, and ideally your local contractors.

I hope you inspected your damper, and connection hardware before you replace the motor. Over time things get loose or worn and you have to clean and adjust them accordingly. That was my first thought when you said the motor doesn't open the damper all the way.
The damper operates easily by hand with the motor removed. The movement open is not difficult and the spring returns the damper to closed in a smooth even movement. The motor shaft turns when it is off the damper but only moves the mechanism about 15 degrees when the open position is commanded.
Thanks for the quick response. I scrolled down this page and found this past post that had what I think is some useful information.
