I have a garage heater, ceiling mounted, Beacon Morris, BRU-45. I am trying to fire it up for the first time this season. Blower comes on, glow plug works, but no ignition.

I have a beacon morris bru-45 that won't ignite. It flashes a dash, dash, delay, then repeats. What do4es this code mean?

I bought a new Beacon Morris 75k heater and installed it in my garage. Worked well for a week or so and then wouldn't light once in awhile. It would try 3 times and then lock out with the green light blinking 2 times. I would have to turn off power and try several times to get it to light. I removed the covers so I could watch the igniter and burners while it tried to light. What I found was that the igniter electrodes were too close to the burner frame and it would short out to the frame instead of sparking at the gap at the end of the electrodes. I simply bent the igniter electrodes away from the burner frame and it now works perfectly. Just be careful not to damage the porcelain on the igniter base.
