I need a loan and this company called Wynn and associates has offered it
Has anyone heard if this company to see if they're legit? They want a collateral fee of $490 before I can get the $5000 loan. How do I find out if they're real and legit?

They say its collateral and once paid I won't have to pay my monthly fee until September because this $490 will be applied until than?

I know nothing about Quicken Loans other than that they win the award every year (Price Waterhouse?) for best loans.

I doubt that you will ever see the 5K that claims to be in business since 2002 and has clients worldwide, yet I can find no reviews of them at all. That usually means they just started, and probably start anew every few months under new names.

They are based in Jamaica. Who will you complain to when you lose your fee?

So you want one of us to try it? You are saying we need to apply for a loan through them and let you know how it goes? Yeah, I don't think so.

If you actually think someone here is going to 'try it' and let you know, you shouldn't be borrowing money online PERIOD. You are naïve and gullible. PLEASE save your money. What is so urgent?

Paying money to get money is a red flag.

If you miss a payment, the usual thing they do is increase the interest rate. Is that mentioned in your contract?

Like J_9 said, having to pay money to get the loan is a huge red flag.

All I know is I will be paying like a monthly fee of $164 so what about an 11% annual rate and after three yrs I would have only paid almost $900. This sounds too good to be true right

If this were a loan at a legitimate bank, the interest you will pay over three years (with no missing of payments) will be almost $1000.

    I vote no.

Have you checked at your own bank or area banks what the interest rate would be to borrow $5000?

My bank would charge 4.25% interest for a $5000 loan.

LISTEN: When you can find absolutely nothing online about an online company other than what they wrote themselves, chances are it's a brand new fly-by-night shady deal.

Did you read their testimonials? They all have similar misspellings!

No I'm not saying for you to apply for a loan. But you as the expert I think would be better suited for the investigative legwork. Yes you go through the process just talking to them and being the expert you would know what to say and expect to hear back if their legit and if their replies aren't true to form than as the expert your red flags would be popping up compared to my naïve who don't know any better. This would solve all questions or give more weight to your expertise wouldn't it instead of just assuming

True I am naïve to all this. Even to the world of credit money and banks. Thus I have no credit and what little credit I have I am 3000 indebt and my bank is good for nothing though I haven missed a payment in this last 6 months won't give me any. So I had to resort to payday loans and all this bs. And the urgent reason just so you know is that my nephew who is only 22 has colon cancer. He just had surgery about a week ago now and though they got most its not all. He has to go to some cancer center in Chicago to do radiation crap. They live in North Carolina I live in Minnesota this urgent need is so that I can at least try to help because money is short and times are going to be very tough for my brother and nephew these coming months. I make $2000 a month not much but that can definitely cover this $3000 debt I am in and what I hoped would be a minimal $5000 loan but obviously not in these days and times. I guess I have to be more in debt before the banks give me more loan. I sound desperate and Mad because I am😁 not at you guys but just life and well you all know how it is and how in the blink of an eye it can just all snowball for good or bad on you.

Yeah, still no. We all volunteer here... how many of us do you think would be willing to call them and sit on the phone with them to "investigate" them? I know I'm not going to spend that kind of time.

We are a Q&A site... to help people answer questions they may have... not to investigate claims for free.

The claims though seem a little crazy. 11% interest... $490 up front... $164 a month for 36 months. That works out to $5904 + the $490... hardly seems right from an online company that is giving a loan to someone with bad or no credit at all. I sell cars... usually no credit/bad credit loans go for over 24% interest... so this all seems "too good to be true" like they are trying to suck you in.

I have no credit so bad credit and already they chance on me wit a. $1000 loan 6 months ago which I been taking my good ol time to pay back only for the purpose to build my credit. Now that I actually need the money their useless and good for nothing. Which led me to payday loans who kill me on interest leading me to my 2300 debt. But it's nothing I can't pay off wit my job right now. It's just that right now now I need that loan n can't get it but thanks for the suggestion

Right... again naïve of me to think anyone would do anything just for the good act in itself. Just a hard reminder of the world we living in and here I am taking advice from those who want to have their say only to say because they can but yet saying nothing but any reasonable man or woman wouldn't already know instead of actually talk about facts they do know or would if only they cared to. Ask yourself have you helped answer my question? And than ask yourself why are you on here to "help people answer questions" you know nothing of? But don't want to find out because nothing is free😁 thanks for your great input though seriously and your time.

So now you're talking crap at us because YOU came here asking for help and aren't happy that nobody will go through the loan process with that company to help you out? That's absurd.

You know what? You've been told what we think... so sorry I won't spend an hour on the phone with them for you, who I don't even know. So because you aren't hearing what you find acceptable... WE are the problem. Maybe if you would take the time to listen here or to even learn a little on your own, you wouldn't need to resort to insulting VOLUNTEERS because YOU feel INADEQUATE.

Get the loan if you want... I'm sure you'll do great.

    I'm done here.

I did my best for you. I examined their site and what they said, I checked into loans and amortization tables on the Internet, and I called my bank to find out what their rates would be. And I told you my conclusion is "no" for this loan.

The risk is much too high for many reasons.

I came here for help whether in advice or knowledge and again like you told you if u read it I thank you for your input. I live near Chicago. Why does he have to come all the way up here? Is his case that unusual? I know there is a world-class cancer treatment center here, but certainly there are cancer treatment centers in NC (my home state), aren't there? My radiation was $800 or so a treatment at a regular hospital, so I know it is very expensive. In any event, I wish him well.

There may be financial help for him at this cancer treatment center, if it's the one I'm thinking of. Be sure to ask about that. I think they have a Ronald McDonald House for the family to stay at for free, so check on that too.

I had a boyfriend get colon cancer at 22. That was almost 40 years ago though. Anyway, he had doctors visiting him in the hospital from ALL OVER THE US because he was so young. (They concluded that he got it from his dad's clothing covered with the dust from the coke ovens at US Steel.)
He had no money. None, zilch. He had been a student but had dropped out because he didn't feel well. He made a living with a van, moving students.
I spent my spare time writing to his creditors, telling them so, and pleading for them to stop billing because it was so upsetting to him. They all stopped.
Good luck. Please don't borrow money. Get the word out to the community that he needs to get to Chicago. I hope his family is too. You are too broke to be doing this.
Hospitals have Pell grants and financial aid and financial plans. You are going about this all wrong.
As for what a lot of us know: I know that countless people have come to this site to say that they paid the 'collateral fee' and never saw a dime of the loan. I saw enough of this company's site and lack of information about them elsewhere to see that they are can't be trusted.

Unfortunately, I was scammed into this! Yep... I was desperate for a loan, and my crredit is bad, so I can't get one anywhere else. I sent them the 491 on Monday... western union... and the money was suppose to be in my account in 2 to 4 hours. It's now Wednesday... and NO money. They do actually answer when I call, and are saying they have been overwhelmed with applicants (yeah right!).. so now I'm suppose to have the money by Friday!
Anyhow... AFTER the fact, I've been doing some more research. The contract that I was sent from them, had an attachment of the "bond" company that they supposedly use. I researched the company, and they ARE legit.. so I emailed them and attached the letter that Wynn and associates had sent me with THEIR information on it... I received an email back immediately saying that they were, in no way, associated with Wynn and associates and that they reported it fraudulant and even gave me the fraud case number.
I'm sure I will not get the 491 back... so it was a very HARD lesson for me.
