    How does one get rich?
How much money would someone have to start with to get rich?

Well many immigrants coming into America are in debt with little money and work hard and save and invest and start their own business and get rich.

Others are rich because they have the time and love of their families and know material things mean little.

To get rich one needs three things. Income, time and discipline how much of one you need determins how much of the other two you have.

Well, if you have $1, and are willing to work, you can become rich. Work hard, save, avoid debt... invest...

Notice I said work hard and not play lotto? Most people think hitting the lotto is the way to wealth. It is not.

I see you have Dave Ramsey's link in your signature line. I've heard about him and I think I heard him on the radio a couple of times. I recently inherited a little money from my Dad's estate. I plan on paying off 100% of my debt but I'm not sure what to do with the rest. I'm going to bring up the link I see under your post. Thanks.

P.S. Getting rich is not necessarily the most important thing I want form life but I would like the peace of mind that I can retire comfortably and I would also like to support causes that I find important. Thanks again.

Well the poor man says " IT TAKES MONEY TO MAKE MONEY "
The Rich man says " IT TAKES MONEY TO MAKE MONY.... BUT IT DOES'NT HAVE TO
    BE MY MONEY"

    That's the answer

Both gazelleintense and rfarmer are correct. If you find a niche, an untapped market, "they will come to you"

Now, having said that, "being rich" is way too broad of an approach. I feel rich, in life ( not just name ) but I have little money and less confidence in my future. If you find something that you are passionate about and don't think of it as "work," then you, too, will be rich. It's not all about money. I don't know anyone who said, on their deathbed, that they wish they had spent more time at the office.
