    kinetic energy
Without doing any calculations, consider a cylinder that contains a mixture of hydrogen and chlorine molecules. Compare
    a) the relative mass of the molecules (using the periodic table)

    b)the temp of each gas

c)the average kinetic energy of the molecules

d)the average speed of the molecules

    My answers are

    a) H = 1.0079 Cl = 3.5453

    b)equal

    c)constant

    d)equal

    Are these correct?

    a) Remember that you need to consider molecules! So, hydrogen is in the form of and Chlorine in the form of . (and Chlorine is 35.5, not 3.55)

    b) Correct ('At room temperature' is perhaps expected)

    c) I would say yes, though 'they are the same' would be my answer.

    d) Yes, since you replied earlier that they have the same kinetic energy, and this is directly related to speed.
