    It should be shown under another heading
    Called INVESTMENT ASSETS.

    ACCOUNT.

    Under US GAAP:

    If the original maturity of your treasury note is 90 or less it should be cash and cash equivalents.

    If original maturity is greater then 90 days, it's an investment.

    If it's a marketable security then it requires certain investment disclosures.
