    Rabies? Kujo?
I was at my uncle ans aunts farm, and they have a st.bernard. He's very nice and friendly... most of the time, but the last time I was out, me and my mom were sitting in the shade with the dog. And petting him, and he went haywire, and bit me and my mom, and a 200 pound dog biting you doesn't leave just a bruise. We had to go get shots, and my uncle and aunt are refusing to do anything about it. The worst part is, their next door neighbour, has a town day care, with very small children,I'm worried this dog will maul one of these kids. This is horrible iknow and your probably like what's the question? But the question is, if this dog goes crazy and bites everything, does it mean it has rabies? I saw the movie 'kujo' and this dog is very similar, it snaps, and bites, and has killed their other dog. It bit me and my mom, and my mom ended up needed stiches, this dog is all nice and then out of nowhere it freaks out! And my aunt and uncle are refusing to do anything, should my dad call animal control?

Has the dog been like this for more than a few weeks? Rabies quickly progresses and kills the dog. I never saw the movie Cujo, but I doubt it is any more accurate than many others.

I would make future visits contingent on doing something about the dog. A good first step is a vet visit. It could have a tender spot you touched and hurt. A well trained dog still shouldn't bite, but many will.

If there isn't a physical problem, and the dog is very old, it could be difficult to train out of it. Nobody knows everything, and that is not where most of my experience and training have been.

    To answer your questions.
The dog is almost 2 years old, and never used to have a problem like this before, since they live on the farm, they only go to the vet for the shots, and vaxines. This may sound horrible but I really want that dog to die, it's caused so much pain and fighting it's not worth it
