    How could you convert these two questions? They look odd! It could be just me! HAHAH

    50,000mL  meters cubed

    nanometer, noun.a billionth of a meter.
    450 meters  ____ nanometers
    ANSWER = 45,000,000,000 nanometers.
    -----------------------------------

    Millimeter = one thousandth of a meter.
    QUESTION:-
    50,000mL  meters cubed
    ANSWER :- NOTE NOT CUBED!

    phys_08, did you understand the concept of it now? :confused:

    Rolcam - two issues:

    1. You missed a zero: 450 meters * 10^9 nM/m = 4.5 * 10^11 = 450,000,000 nM.

    2. I think you misread 50,000 mL as 50,000 mm, and so figured it's a length. But mL = milliliters is actually a volume, and hence convertible to meters cubed. To do the conversion you need to know that 1 mL has volume of 1 cubic centimeter. Hence there are (100 cm/m)^3* = 10^6 mL per cubic meter. So:

    50,000 mL * 1 m^3/10^6 mL = 0.05 m^3.

    ROLCAM, this is obviously the OP's homework, we have a policy here where we do not answer questions that are obviously homework.

    KISS

    I want to add the following:

    milli = 1e-3
    micro - 1e -6
    nano = 1e-9
    pico = 1e-12

    You guys beat me to the punch. Unknown008 seems to always be looking for extra homework.
